In instruments with a double top soundboard, a hollow board made of Kevlar, balsa or cedar is inserted between two spruce boards, approximately 0.5mm thick. The bonding is carried out in a vacuum bag.
Glued honeycomb on the soundboard
The total thickness of a first soundboard and honeycomb is about 1.8mm, which is achieved by thinning the Kevlar side on a drum sander.
Structure under light
The spruce board and Kevlar honeycomb are glued in. Another plate, approximately 0.5mm thick, will be glued onto the existing structure, on the side of the light.
To better utilize the vibrations of the soundboard, a rigid back and double sides with frames made of laminated veneers were made.

MATERIALS
We try to use as much local wood as possible, especially spruce, fir, walnut and maple. We are proud of our spruce soundboards from Gorski Kotar. If the customer wishes, we can also build with other materials such as Indian rosewood, cedar, mahogany. We use ebony for the fingerboards. We varnish with shellac.
